OK I've visited all the websites, read articles and posts, listened to all the interviews, and gone to a few practice and scrimmages. Basically I should have a more informed (although biased) opinion of 2009 BYU football than the national "experts" so it's time to call my shot so I can say I-told-you-so in December.
Here's my call:
@OU L 34 - 42 (Cougs keep it close until the 4th)
@Tulane W 45 - 13 (Snoozer. "O" line starts to gel)
FSU W 38 - 28 (Thank you altitude!!)
CSU W 35 - 16 (New QB + No Gartrell = No "O")
USU W 42 - 17 (Better coach, same lack of weapons)
@UNLV W 28 - 17 (Unga gets close to 200 yards)
@SDSU W 24 - 20 (Trap game. Cougs eek out win)
TCU W 31 - 24 (Dog Fight! Cougs pull away in 4th)
@WYO W 45 - 6 (1st year spread teams struggle)
@NM W 38 - 13 (Another 1st year spread team)
AF W 35 - 20 (AF scraps but lacks horses)
UofU W 41 - 17 (U's "O" put their "D" in bad situations. No Sakota to bail them out. Finally a blowout!!)
Bowl Game: Orange Bowl
Georga Tech W 34 - 24 (Seniors step-up and represent the MWC in final game)
Three Random predictions:
1. Scott Johnson finishes the season at corner due to injuries, Bills starts in his place.
2. Unga breaks Brown's rushing record by 300 yards, declares for NFL Draft.
3. Hall finishes 3rd in Heisman voting.
